Bachelorette party ettiquet

  • Make sure you follow the bachelorette's desires.  Some women want a night full of sex related activities while others prefer a simple gathering of her closest friends to celebrate her good news. Remember it is her night to shine. It is not a night to cause her feel embarrassed or uncomfortable.
  • If you are a game-a-holic remember to mix the evening up with conversations.
  • Be flexible. If you find that what you are doing isn't working, do not be afraid to change gears mid-way. Always have a back-up plan. 
  • If you plan on having guests drink, make sure you have a safe ride home (limo, cab and/or a 'designated driver').  
  • The bachelorette NEVER pays. All she needs to do is show up. 
  • The person (or people) hosting the party should cover most of the costs. You can throw an amazing party on a small budget. If you are not sure how to go about it, please check out our idea page.  There are many low-budget ideas that you might not have already thought of.

Currently Alex practices couples counseling and sex therapy and hosts bachelorette parties in Philadelphia Pennsylvania .

"Alex" Caroline Robboy earned her Masters in Social Work, a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Human Sexuality Education and a  Post-Masters Certificate in Marriage Counseling & Sex Therapy from the University of Pennsylvania. She is an AASECT certified sex therapist and a diplomate  of sexology.
